Strategy
Armored parts and Olympium parts have the same resistances, although Olympium parts' resistances are more effective. You can use either of those depending on your progression.
If you feel like preparing your car a little, you can use the information the Route Planner provides to choose between the Lead Protection and Anticorrosive protection. The items stored within the trunk (see Gallery) will also keep you prepared for emergencies. If you're flush with garage resources, ALWAYS scrap the car and electronics in the back of the garage to use during the run.
Every part on your car (other than the trunk and LIM shield) has all 3 resistances. But due to the fact that they're balanced between all the parts, the resistances aren't substantial. Avoid threats whenever possible.
You can pretty much run junctions however you want with this. Hit a couple of buildings, grab a couple electronics here and there, bag some anchors and dip. Not much thinking required.
Your primary energy source will be the Mini Turbines. Keep moving, and they'll keep you powered. Incase you need to make long stops and it isn't windy weather, if it's raining you could switch the turbines for the 2 Hydro Generators stored in the trunk.
If you ever feel too lazy to grab some fuel from barrels, tankers, etc. you can use the Fuel Synthesizer to make more. Although keep in mind, it consumes battery quite quickly.
And remember to always pre-plan your gateway route.
