The Turbolight Engine represents a significant upgrade over the standard Carbureted Engine, able to easily and swiftly tackle many challenges at which the latter would struggle. It is often the first new engine that a player crafts; and is considered by many to be the best and most well-rounded engine in the game, with 53 per cent more power output than the Carbureted Engine at the cost of only 22 per cent less fuel-efficiency.

As with any engine, a fitted and latched hood panel is capable of blocking most damage that would otherwise be dealt to it -- but do be wary of hard, head-on blows to the car's undercarriage, sustained electrocution and acid water, as these are still capable of damaging the engine. Removing the hood panel will fully expose the engine to damage -- the upshot of doing so being that the engine's usual tedious drone will be enhanced into an excitingly guttural rumble.

Equipped with the Turbolight Engine, the Station Wagon is capable of achieving a flat-out forward speed of up to 132 km/h or 82 mi/h; and is capable of accelerating, flat-out, to a speed of 100 km/h from a stationary position in about 7 seconds.
