Logbook Entry

JOURNAL FRAGMENT, date unknown.

You know what? It's an increasingly bad time in the Zone these days. Every day, when I step out my door. I should get a different job. I should do something else.

It's getting worse. I swear these things are all but springing up out of thin air. And now we have this chain-reaction thing. This brutal, deadly trap that just outright slaughters people. Whole lines of those dummies, any one of them capable of setting off all the rest. Seven people have died in three days.

You know what it feels like to me? Like the Zone is murdering us. Even like it enjoys doing so. It's as if something really, really doesn't want us here. And you know what? That's fine by me. Tomorrow morning, I'm out.

Synopsis

Anomaly which consists of multiple mannequins with electricity flowing between them.

In instances where one crosses the electric flow, these anomalies discharge car batteries and damage player health.

Resources

Has a change to yield a Plasma cylinder and/or Plastic upon being dispatched.

Counter

They may be dispatched by throwing a lit road flare/bioflare at them or firing a flare gun/bioflare gun in their vicinity in the same way ordinary Tourist anomalies may be dealt with.

Aside from avoiding these anomalies altogether, especially the electricity which arks between them, activation of the LIM Shield ability before contact will significantly reduce incoming damage from both the electricity and any potential explosions from the Tourists themselves.

Additionally, having insulated doors, panels, and/or bumpers equipped to the car will help to reduce electrical damage taken, though it will never provide true immunity. It will, however, block the Charged effect from affecting neighboring parts.

Junction Conditions

These anomalies appear in greater numbers, are more aggressive towards The Driver, and move faster when a junction has the condition in effect.

These anomalies cause your car to experience a speed boost when a junction has the Shocking Speed condition in effect.

These anomalies cause your car's battery to drain faster when a junction has the Disruptive Discharge condition in effect.

These anomalies confer more damage to your car when a junction has the Violent Voltage and/or Overcharged Electricity conditions in effect.
