Use
This tool serves as a weapon for The Driver, but is also a viable light source for lighting distant areas. When fired, the projectile travels through the air in a straight line, emitting a great deal of light, for 10 seconds or until it hits an obstacle. After that, it turns into an ordinary lit Road Flare and falls to the ground; this flare can be picked up and used in the usual manner.
Since one gun takes 2 flares to craft, yet can fire 4, it technically represents a way to duplicate flares. However, given the abundance of flare spawns and the differences in item and stack sizes (a 2x2 square can hold 40 flares or 12 flare gun shots), there is little practical reason to do so.
