TRANSMISSION RECORD, Dr. Francis Cooke, 1999
This really puts the nail in the coffin. All of those rumors that it was our activity fueling the evolution of the Zone- they must be true, somehow. Things have been getting quieter, as quiet as they can get around here, since the decommission. But the walls are crumbling, things are getting in. People are getting in. I could barely believe there was another Remnant, but a new Anomaly? I suppose there's always a chance it's been here far longer than we could know, and we've only just found it.
Its behavior is particularly peculiar- it seems to be watching. Perhaps observing, or keeping watch? For itself, or something else? Regardless, it seems rather skittish, even scared. I've observed it shaking, but I've never gotten much closer. The things it seems to "leave behind" feel... targeted. I can't help but feel like it's a gift."

Synopsis
The Pufferfish Anomaly appears to be a roughly car-sized, airbag-like object with jittering 'eyes' of varying sizes about its body. At a distance, it can be observed inflating itself and floating into the air at regular intervals. Its presence in a Junction is displayed on the route planner, and it can be located using the Resource Radar; it can also be detected audibly by the distinctive chittering sounds that it makes.
When approached by the Driver on foot, it inflates and knocks them back with a blast of air, causing damage; when approached by the car, it launches itself up and away on plume of liquid, leaving a Glittering Boulder in its place and a multicoloured trail leading to its new position. Upon the fourth time that the Pufferfish is pursued, it drops a Burr and disappears permanently.
