James Cay is a side character in Pacific Drive
He worked for ARDA during the Zone's operation and was assigned to research The Well[1] alongside Dr. Allen Turner in a highly classified site in the Deep Zone. [2]
His notable research includes the creation of the original Remnants which were created as a trigger for the Well. [3]
He was falsely reported to have died by ARDA due to a gamma ray surge caused by lab created remnant experimentation[4] at 0400 hours on September 14th 1961.[2] Whilst the accident did not kill him, he was exposed to what should have been fatal amounts of radiation and after recovering was sent to continue his research on the Well by ARDA[5] in a secret area of the reportedly demolished Red Meadow Research Facility.[6] He worked for an additional two years but was unable to produce anything useful and was retired from his post[5] in March 1963.[6]
