Finding a car in a barn feels like discovering a hidden treasure, a rush of excitement mixed with curiosity and a sense of historical connection, as if you've stumbled upon a forgotten piece of the past, especially if the car is in relatively pristine condition and has been untouched for many years; it's a thrill of the hunt combined with the potential to restore something unique and valuable.
Finding that car after getting stuck in a place long since blocked off by the government however... well, you know all about that feeling by now, do you?
It might not look like much now, but with the right parts, mechanic skillset, and Tender Love and Care, this old clunker might just work better than it ever has. Just make sure you keep it out of danger until then.

Strategy
I'm sure I don't have to tell you how you shouldn't drive this past the Outer Zone, or even beyond three Junctions. Driving with this loadout is a terrible idea. (on a normal playthrough, at least)
I just find it weird how little anyone cares about the way the Car looks like when you first find it. I mean, yes, there's much more that can make it look and work better than this, but you should never forget how it first started out: as a beat-up lemon rusting away in a random shed.
Which makes looking back on it after late-game upgrades give a sense of pride. Never forget your roots.
Another thing that bothers me is how you can't remove the expansion racks once you put them on, nor can you revert back to the cardboard boxes as trunk storage. It certainly spoils the immersion in the picture gallery, but let's just say it's part of a "New Game +" feature, and go on with it.
(This is also my first attempt to make an Archangel page on this site, so don't take this so seriously.)
