JOURNAL FRAGMENT, Ida-Mae J. Tacke, 1987

I'd already decided not to leave, but helping folks out during the evacuations has really made up my mind. I can't leave. There's so many people here who need help- anyone who believes ARDA when they say everyone's out is a fool. Some of these people couldn't leave, but some of them wanted to stay, and both are already struggling. Not even the few functioning utilities remaining will stay functioning for long. Just because ARDA decided they were done with this project doesn't mean I am!

Synopsis

Ida's Exchange is a structure that can appear in junctions on Expeditions. They appear on the route planner map as "Ida's Exchange Junction" and is run by Ida.

The structure itself is a modified trailer with a satellite dish, solar panels and a large neon sign on the roof. The edge of the roof is lined with green fairy lights. On the front side of the trailer is an Open/Closed neon sign, an interactive screen and a metal door with a 'Caution' sign and warning label on it. The back of the trailer is adorned with road signs and ARDA posters. On the side of the trailer is a tow hitch and a chimney that runs up the side of the trailer. It often has smoke coming out of it when approached by the Driver.

Trading

The screen on the front of the trailer can be interacted with to bring up a trading interface. At the top right of the interface is a section with the items Ida has available to trade for. All items cost Scrap Metal and each item has its price listed on it's top right corner. These items can then be added to the checkout below and purchased by holding down on the 'Purchase' button. After purchasing items, they will be dropped out of the metal door to the left of the interface.

Any blueprints purchased from Ida are effective for the current trip only and will need to be purchased again on future expeditions.
