First To Survive
Oppy:
"You're not the first to try crossing the Old Wall since the Anomalies moved in. But we'll make sure you're the first to survive."
Oppy:
"Two things to keep in mind."
Oppy:
"First: to get through the Old wall, there are five crossing points. You need to induce the electrical grid the entire way, by driving the car close enough, and fast enough, along the conductors. You'll see them as you go."
Oppy:
"Once you jump-start the grid, Tobias will route the Mid-Zone power your way. But no induction, no power, no crossing."
Oppy:
"Second: watch your battery gauge. You will live or die by that thing."
Oppy:
"Got it? Good."
Oppy:
"Start by connecting the power grid at the first crossing point. The controls will be up in the observation tower."
Shuttle Stops
Oppy:
"There are old shuttle stops at each crossing point. Use them to recharge your battery. And hope they're still in working condition after all these years."
Francis?
Oppy:
"Tobias, how's the power routing?"
Tobias:
"The neighbors are complaining about the flickering lights, but I told them to light some candles and sit tight."
Oppy:
"Francis?"
Francis:
"Levels are good. Holding steady."
Interference
Francis:
"Getting some interference, Tobias. The power supply is wavering."
Tobias:
"I'm working on it."
Tobias:
"Our local Battery Farm's putting up a fuss. She hasn't been taxed like this in awhile. But I'm easing her into it, don't worry."
Spent
Francis:
"Battery Farms 1-3 are reporting total power drain. They're spent."
Oppy:
"How long to recharge?"
Francis:
"Could take up to a day."
Tobias:
"I got this."
On It
Tobias:
"Shit, shit!"
Francis:
"Total power loss on stations 9-15."
Tobias:
"I'm on it. Shit."
Oppy:
"Get that power back up. The gate at the final crossing point won't open without it."
Francis:
"I'm rerouting power from Batter Farm 6."
Oppy:
"Easy. Too much and you'll blow out your control center."
Francis:
"Too little and the entire array's going down. We have no choice."
Repair
Francis:
"Batter Farm 6 core's overloaded. It's shutting down-
Tobias:
"We can't lose the Remnant. I won't let it go-"
Francis:
"Get back inside! The radiation's peaking-"
Tobias:
"I've got to repair it."
Tobias:
"I'll be damned if I'm going to let this plan fail. we're too close. Your theory- we can still prove it-"
Francis:
"Stop! It's too dangerous out there."
Francis:
"Tobias. Please, Tobias, come back,"
Please
Francis:
"Tobias, please. Tobias, please come back."
Now Or Never
Tobias:
"I'm at the Battery Farm. The fusebox is completely liquefied, but I can bypass it."
Oppy:
"Francis, I need you back at the control board."
Francis:
"Not now, Oppy-"
Oppy:
"The minute Tobias reroutes that line, you need to push the connection. Miss it by a split second, and we lose the entire power grid."
Tobias:
"Almost ready."
Francis:
"Please, don't do this."
Oppy:
"Francis. It's now or never."
Francis:
"Damn it. Tobias-"
Francis:
"I'm rerouting the grid now. I'll be ready for you."
Stay With Us
Oppy:
"Give us the signal, Tobias."
Oppy:
"Tobias? Stay with us."
Tobias:
"I got you, Oppy."
Tobias:
"Francis. I-"
Tobias:
Well, what do you know? The one time I find myself out of things to say."
Tobias:
"Oppy. You take care of him for me."
Francis:
"Tobias!"

Francis:

Power's Back
Oppy:
"Power's back online. Francis, now!"
Francis:
"Tobias? Answer me. Please. Tobias. Answer me."
Oppy:
"Don't do it. You can't go out there."
Oppy:
"Driver, the power's holding steady. You can open that final gate."
I Told You
Oppy:
"The entire area got scrambled in instability. I'm afraid Tobias-"
Francis:
"I told you. I told you, didn't I? We weren't ready. We should've planned it better, we should've known-"
Oppy:
"We did the best we could."
Francis:
"No. Do not give me that. If we had, he'd be here with us-"
Oppy:
"I'm sorry. But we've got to help the Driver."
Francis:
"Don't you dare. What, is this how you dealt with Allen's death? Put your head down and let work fill the gaps?"
Oppy:
"Actually, that's precisely what I did. And you'll recall the breakthrough in self-healing materials that I made that year."
Francis:
"Oh, well, good for you, I'm sure Allen would've been very proud of you using his death that way."
Oppy:
"You know what?"
Oppy:
"That whole pep talk I gave you before? To convince you to go through with it?"
Oppy:
"That's precisely the same crap Allen would tell me. All the time."
Oppy:
"'It's worth the sacrifice.' 'Stay late, don't worry about me.' 'Finish your work, then we can start a family.'"
Oppy:
"Always, always, he'd spew that crap."
Francis:
"So why'd you say it to me?"
Oppy:
"Because he has to have been right. Because, if I let myself think he was wrong, then... I can't live with that regret."
Oppy:
"I gave everything for LIM. This is the last thing I'm holding onto for myself."
Oppy:
"Every single day I still think about how if I had left the Zone when we had planned to, I wouldn't have lost Allen. I thought I- I hoped that LIM tech was done killing our own."
Oppy:
"I'm sorry about Tobias."
Francis:
"Tobias is- was- all I had. I need to sign off for awhile."
Oppy:
"We'll be here when you're ready."
Oppy:
"Glad you got through, Driver. Power on that Stabilizer and I'll see you back at the garage."
