"By regular standards, I'm about ten miles west of you. In Zone terms, consider me on another planet."

"There's a valley of perpetual instability enclosing my corner of the Zone. And yes, I chose to live here for that exact reason."

Hello Sierram
OPPY:
"God. Sierram."
OPPY:
"Never wanted to think about this place ever again."
OPPY:
"Head toward town. Colossal Cappy is smack dab in the middle of where Sierram used to be. You can't miss it."
Largest Honkin' Anomaly
TOBIAS:
"Is there a reason you're driving straight toward the largest honking Anomaly in the Zone?"
OPPY:
"You wanted to know if there's a speck of Remnant energy in that car? This is how you do it."
FRANCIS:
"You're using Cappy to amplify the Remnant's signal. That's insane."
Are You Sure?
FRANCIS:
"Driver, are you sure about this?"
OPPY:
"They'll be fine."
FRANCIS:
"It's not fine. Look at those radiation spikes that Colossal Cappy's still giving off, after all these years."
FRANCIS:
"To achieve any sort of resonance, the Driver's going to have to get right up against Cappy."
TOBIAS:
"I get you Francis, but Oppy's got a point. Any Remnant energy lingering in the car is too weak to detect with conventional methods."
FRANCIS:
"Really? You're going to take her side?"
TOBIAS:
"This isn't about sides. It's a good plan."
FRANCIS:
"I won't risk someone's life just so we can log another Remnant sighting."
Make Your Own Decision
OPPY:
"The Driver can make their own decision. I'm not forcing them to do anything."
OPPY:
"For all I care, they can lay down and wait until the instability takes them."
OPPY:
"That would get them out of my hair much faster than all of these shenanigans."
Alternative Dialogue: Something Special
The following dialogue can be obtained as an alternative to Make Your Own Decision if the Driver dies or abandons a trip prior to starting the Sierram mission:
OPPY:
"I'm not risking anyone's life. That car's clearly been protecting the newbie."
OPPY:
"Something special's going on beneath that hood."
OPPY:
"Besides, where's your sense of experimentation, Francis?"
FRANCIS:
"Thanks, but I'm quite content to leave killing someone out of my definition of an experiment."
Higher Ground
OPPY:
"No response. Maybe you need to get closer to Cappy's core way up there. Can you find a way to higher ground?"
An Old Bridge
The following dialogue is obtained if the Driver takes too long to get to the bridge:
TOBIAS:
"Wasn't there an old bridge around there somewhere? Maybe that'll get you the height you need."
Sierram Bridge
The following dialogue is obtained if the player takes too long to get to the bridge:
TOBIAS:
"The Sierram bridge. Used to go right through town before the accident. Now it goes straight to Cappy. You should find it."
Into Cappy's Core
OPPY:
"Car's still not close enough to Cappy."
TOBIAS:
"What now?"
OPPY:
"How about launching the car into Cappy's core?"
FRANCIS:
"I'm sorry, what?"
OPPY:
"It's simple. The Driver jumps the car into the heart of the Anomaly. And if I time it right, I'll open the gateway and extract them."
FRANCIS:
"And if you don't?"
OPPY:
"I've run some calculations. I think it should be fine."
OPPY:
"Anyway, it's like they always say: what's an experiment without some risk of total annihilation?"
TOBIAS:
"Who says that, exactly?"
FRANCIS:
"In no way, shape, or form, should we be doing this."
TOBIAS:
"But, if it's the only way. You got this, kid. Floor it!"
Anytime Now
FRANCIS:
"Oppy? Anytime now, Oppy!"
OPPY:
"My systems are overloaded-"
???:
"Ophelia? My love, is that you?"
Thought I Lost You
OPPY:
"Damn it, you piece of crap, come back on already."
OPPY:
"Can you hear me?"
OPPY:
"Cappy fried my transmission systems. Thought I lost you for a moment."
OPPY:
"Well, it all worked out, didn't it?"
OPPY:
"The Gateway got you out. And it looks like the ARC Device is still intact, with all the data it's recorded from your drive."
OPPY:
"And my plan worked. Cappy amplified the car's signal and it matches. Looks like Tobias and Francis found their Remnant after all."
OPPY:
"Unfortunately, what they've been saying is true. The Remnants drive their victims mad. Maybe that car, having sat dormant for this long, will give you a little more time."
OPPY:
"I'm sorry I don't have better news for you."
OPPY:
"I'm still game to get you out of here. The faster you leave, the longer you'll have to enjoy the rest of your sanity."
OPPY:
"None of the routes you've mapped so far leads to a way out. Why don't you head back out and chart some more? You can get in touch with Tobias and Francis while you're out there."
