EYES ONLY - BATTALION MEMO, September 2nd, 1971.
At this stage I don't need to know who is responsible, but I do need you to understand that ANY provocation of these creatures WILL BE an actionable offense. DELIBERATELY luring them with any kind of bait only makes them both more accustomed and more persistent. At this point we have lost literally millions of dollars in valuable parts and equipment. The Colonel being carried away in his portapotty is simply another symptom of lax discipline and DISREGARD for the potential dangers of the Zone. I will not hesitate to report ANY future negligence directly to the Major.
