Setting up lures to keep them from draining our vehicles is one thing. I acknowledge that it’s become a necessary part of how we deal with these disruptions, and continue to do our jobs. Carrying them around because you "couldn't find a fuel can" is a stretch. We’re not running a petting zoo here. But keeping them in your backpack to see if they'll "get along" with a different hive or produce more resources after you've "bonded" is crossing a line.

=== Synopsis ===

The Harvestman are odd, vacuum-like Anomalies that can be found in the Whispering Woods, spawning in bodies of water along with their Hives. They will attempt to siphon fuel from cars & gas canisters, bringing it back to their Hive to produce Harvestman Honey. They will also approach the [[Car]] to siphon fuel from it, extracting fuel from the gas tank to take it back to their Hive. They will also carry away Fuel Cans, which can be a nuisance.

More than one Harvestman will spawn on the map, and can rapidly drain your fuel tank if they all catch your scent.

If [[The Driver]] wishes to guarantee getting some Harvestman Honey, they can feed a Harvestman to maximum capacity, and escort them back to the Harvestman Hive to get the honey they produce.

Harvestman are hard to counter if they swarm your vehicle, and can likely end up entirely draining your fuel tank if left unattended. They can be picked up and thrown, but there will likely be too many of them unless you drive away fast enough to lose them, or if your car has too much fuel for them to siphon, leaving you with some amount of fuel left in your tank.

A good way to keep Harvestman from stealing fuel cans is to keep it into your inventory.

Alternatively, you can avoid them being a problem entirely by using an [[AMP Engine]], which has no fuel.

Glowgrabbers are small, jellyfish-like Anomalies found in WITW biomes. They either float through the air, or are connected to a source of light. They will connect to lights in their reach, including the [[Car]]'s headlights.

They are classified as Worker Anomalies, and if brought near a Glowgrabber Grove, [[The Driver]] can throw the Glowgrabber from their inventory to return it to the Grove. It will slowly fly towards the grove, and upon reaching the top of it, it will disappear in a bolt of lightning, releasing Photonic Clusters as a reward.

Glowgrabbers are not a hostile threat, and thus have no complicated counter. If one attaches to your headlights, you can simply exit your car and grab it, putting it in your inventory. After this, you can throw it a distance away from your car or take it to a Glowgrabber Grove.

Over the past year I’ve seen Anomalies cause all manner of chaos. I’ve seen them dismantle ARDA facilities, dissolve trucks into puddles of goo, even tear human beings apart. I’ve seen the fruits of our labors turn one of the prettiest parts of the country into one of the most dangerous and unpredictable.
 
But this week I saw the first sign that things might change. I caught a rare glimpse of hope. Perhaps not everything we unleashed here, in this gigantic cosmic accident, has been bad.
 
We’ve logged several sightings of a new Anomaly. At first sight, it matches the description of so many others, but this one is different. It actually repairs things, apparently seeking out damaged material and regenerating it in a way not dissimilar to some of our own prototype technology. It is benign, even friendly, and I’m starting to wonder if it even communicates.}}

Happy Hare anomalies are one of the few anomalies that are helpful to [[the Driver]] instead of harmful. These anomalies often appear in groups and will repair the [[car|car's]] panels if they attach themselves to the car. They will not repair parts with a [[Peculiar]] status. Additionally, the Happy Hare will reduce the Whispering Tide by a large amount when they attach.

These Anomalies will often speed up to try to overtake your car as you drive. They will then attempt to hop on, allowing for a brief window where you may dodge them. If you fail to dodge, activation of either the [[File:PHYS-WAVE-SHIELD.png|30px|link=Limpulse Emitter]] [[Limpulse Emitter]] or [[File:LIM_Shield.png|30px|link=LIM Shield]] [[LIM Shield]] abilities will forcefully remove them. I don't know where it came from. It's pulled to their rituals or coming for them or they baited it, I swear. They can't control it, it's something unleashed. Like a wild animal. Tracking you. Hunting you down. Unfazed by the trees or the hills or anything else you try to put between it and you. It doesn't move like a living being, but you know how these things are. This one has the sort of mindless semi-intelligence of a predator. Like an alligator, or something, it just goes straight for the kill. All it knows how to do is to try to consume. To eat.
 
And the number of those killed now. Eaten. Six? I won't be a number. I'm a free man. We'll escape this thing yet.}}

=== Synopsis ===

The Maw is a large sphere of darkness, featuring small red eyes and large shadowy tentacles that it uses to assist in movement. The Maw itself can spawn when the Whispering Tide grows beyond 30%, with 3 spawning when the Bounty of Shadows is collected. The Maw will continuously chase the car, attempting to engulf it. While inside the Maw, the car will rapidly be damaged until it leaves the Maw's body.

Avoidance is one way to avoid the damage a Maw can bring, though they are usually more difficult to escape in certain areas. A [[LIM Shield]] can prevent the car from taking damage while inside The Maw. The Maw itself is intangible, with no way to actually block off the Driver from escaping. If you need to drive through a Maw, if you use enough speed, you can pass through with some damage.

I saw them again last night. They always look similar, and appear at about the same time in the evening. It was just after dusk, that time known as civil twilight, when the sun is extinguished but the last light turns the sky a deep royal blue. They walked without fanfare or flourish.
 
I no longer believe they have any particular destination in mind. They walk to lead, to light the way, as if part of some ceremony or ritual. There is some sort of a reverence in this, some sense of respect for either the forest, or for perhaps the Zone itself. It seems a practiced behavior. Organized. Something they have done before, perhaps many times, and will again. Maybe the only thing they've ever done.
 
I found my old camera, the one with the long lens that survived the many moves involved in our endless relocations around the peninsula. Tomorrow I will attempt to capture and catalogue their movements, perhaps even get a closer look. Sometimes I think I see some facial feature, a cheekbone, a jawline, maybe eyes. But never a face.}}

A Ferryman is an anomaly resembling a shadow-based figure with wood on its back, leaving a trail of shadowy human-shaped afterimages that dissipate after some distance. Attached to the Ferryman's bundle is a small trinket of some kind, made up of twine, sticks, and two yellow pendants.

They manifest after The Driver obtains a Bounty of Shadows, often passing across or along roads.

Created a main page for all the anomalies to replace the category page. Currently organized based on their damage types in-game, but a few like Hopped-Up Hare, Happy Hare, and Beating Heart seem out of place as-is. I've also borrowed icons from their related modifiers for a couple anomalies, but the remaining anomalies either don't have one or have one that doesn't look great on the page. Unsure what the best path forward for those is.

*Cool, I like it! Wondering if the switch from a category to a normal article makes sense though? If we use a category page then a user can always find their way to that list through the category section at the bottom of each anomaly. Not sure what the convention is here. As for the Happy Hare etc, why not just have a section called "Healing" or similar in the list? I feel like it'd fit in fine. **I'm definitely used to (and at least prefer aesthetically) a division between the main page for a category and the category page itself. Your point of direct access from any anomaly makes sense, though. To be quite honest I'm not sure why the division is conventional but it's pretty universally followed. Could go either way. I saw them again last night. They always look similar, and appear at about the same time in the evening. It was just after dusk, that time known as civil twilight, when the sun is extinguished but the last light turns the sky a deep royal blue. They walked without fanfare or flourish.
 
I no longer believe they have any particular destination in mind. They walk to lead, to light the way, as if part of some ceremony or ritual. There is some sort of a reverence in this, some sense of respect for either the forest, or for perhaps the Zone itself. It seems a practiced behavior. Organized. Something they have done before, perhaps many times, and will again. Maybe the only thing they've ever done.
 
I found my old camera, the one with the long lens that survived the many moves involved in our endless relocations around the peninsula. Tomorrow I will attempt to capture and catalogue their movements, perhaps even get a closer look. Sometimes I think I see some facial feature, a cheekbone, a jawline, maybe eyes. But never a face.}}
